Owner and Founder of Sausage Fest Track Days. Nick has been addicted to the track ever since pitted out for the first session of a rookie day @ NYST in September 2015 at the age of 17. His passion has now grown into this group and he strives to grow the list of events each year to provide a safe and fun calendar for all to enjoy. You will see him on a yellow Yamaha R6 with Camel cigarette decals. Stop and chat with him anytime!
He has had the motorcycle bug for over 30 years and started track day riding in 2014 and has been hooked since. Luckily he was able to convince Nick to ride with him and soon other family members if all goes well. He enjoys hanging on for the ride and some of the promotion work for the Sausage Fest Track Day. Bob also gets great satisfaction as a coach teaching new track day riders how to get started. His favorite motto "To be old and wise you must first be young and stupid" and he is hoping he can eliminate some of the stupid he did in early track days from your track experiences.
He looks forward to meeting all of you in person and enjoying this safe track day with you.
Coach and quick dude
In 2008 Derek took the MSF and started a lifelong passion of all things motorcycle, whether it be riding or working on them. He learned a lot along the way from videos, articles and service manuals. Although street riding was fun at the time, Derek wanted to push himself and see what his bike can do, so he signed up for his first track day in 2015. The first day was a little overwhelming as he didn’t know what to do or where to go, wishing he would have had something like Sausage fest and their great coaches to help him through the experience. Each year after he attended more and more track days growing his skills, but it wasn’t until he decided to build an R3 that his skills really took off. The lack of power teaches you all the basic fundamentals and to hold corner speed. He figured if MotoGP riders have to start in Moto3, then progress to Moto2 then MotoGP, it made sense to start small and move up. For those of you who think the bigger the bike the faster you will be, Derek will prove you wrong. Remember, “it’s better to ride a slow bike fast, than a fast bike slow.” You can find Derek now on an R6 passing Nick and Mike. Feel free to stop and chat with him about anything!
Quinn Fable - Ever since he set eyes on the movie Top Gun, he was hooked on motorcycles. It was only a matter of time until he threw a leg over a bike and completed the MSF course. Taking to the track for the first time in 2017, Quinn quickly realized he indeed, had a need for speed. Falling in love with the sport and community, Quinn quickly took to track life and is a fixture at NYST on his grey R6. Flag him down, if you can catch him, and ask him anything you'd like.
