Please contact us if you cannot find an answer to any questions you might have.

First and most important is SAFETY. Everything we do here is with SAFETY FIRST and there are no exceptions. We take this very seriously and I want this to be the first thing you hear from us. Second and almost as important this is a fun activity we all share but it has a level of danger that we should expect. We will do things to make sure that we are safe and we will reserve the right for any of us to have a conversation with you regarding safety if needed. We will address other topics that may need adjustment or corrections. If any problem persists on or off track we reserve the right to ask you to leave. This is for the safety of you, other riders, coaches and anyone attending a Sausage Fest Track Days event.

The pit area which we define as everywhere on the property that is not the track itself is also a place we pay attention to safety. When in the pits as a family, friend, or rider you are expected to act in a safe manner. This means but not limited to obeying the pit speed limit of 5 mph maximum in or on any vehicles in the pit area no exceptions. We do not allow small children to ride around on motorized vehicles or in the middle of the pit roads. If you see an unsafe activity you are asked to say something to the coaches or other event staff. This needs to be a safe event for all involved and not just for the riders on the track.

All spectators are required to stay behind fencing at all times no exceptions!

  • Green - track is clear and you can ride have fun be safe
  • Yellow - something has happened on or right off the track. Don't pass and slow down to 80% pace but by all means keep moving
  • Red - something serious has happened. Ride at 80% pace and leave the track on this lap. Follow the procedure and raise a hand or foot immediately when you see a red flag as you may have seen it before somebody else and this is a universal warning to pay attention to what is happening.
  • Black  - you have done something wrong or there is something wrong with your bike. Pull into the pit following the procedure and talk to the track marshal or coach about what the issue is. If your bike is leaking fluids at all, get off the track now! RIGHT NOW not next lap now. This will save all of us from hating you because you ended our track day due to bad track conditions.
  • Checkered - session is over, pull off on this lap and use the hand or foot to signal you are leaving the track.

  • Always pay attention to flagging stations and track workers. They have final say over everything that happens and they are here to make sure we are all safe. The flag stands will be identified on the sighting lap while following a coach and or control rider at reduced pace.
  • Straight pass only on left and not after meatball markers on the left and right of the track
  • Straightaway stay right of the dotted line unless passing. This should be treated like the highway. Pass on the straights is immediately left of the person  you are passing. You will be talked to if you are just riding in the passing lane because this will clog up the track and could cause a dangerous situations.
  • If somebody is going to pass you make sure to give them space. This is not a race, it is a track day and it needs to be fun. Don't bump elbows or touch tail sections or worse. This is for fun, learning, and excitement.
  • BE PREDICTABLE and smooth on the track. The coaches and control riders will help you throughout the day no matter your skill level.
  • If the coaches or control riders feel you are being unsafe at any time they will call you off the track for a verbal warning on first instance and removal from event on the second with no refund.
  • Review safety requirements for additional information about track day requirements

  • Stay to the right and off the main racing line. All the way to the pit exit on your right.
  • Once you have signaled that you are leaving the track you are leaving the track! No exceptions!
  • This procedure will be demonstrated to every rider on their sighting lap (first lap of the day). This will be led by our coaches and control riders so everybody sees the same explanation which will reduce the chance for incidents.
